Johnstone Supply of Appleton, Wisconsin, hosted U.S. Rep. Reid Ribble (R-Wis.) Aug. 13 at the company’s facility.

Johnstone Supply of Appleton’s co-owners Glenys and Rick Hull met with the congressman as part of the Heating, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International annual’s lobbying event.

“As a small-business man himself, Congressman Ribble has a very good understanding of the issues impacting our business and our customers,” said Glenys Hull. “It was great to have such an open dialogue on a number of issues that impact all of us.”

Rick Hull agreed.

“Congressman Ribble is a straight talker who laid out many of the challenges in Washington and his thoughts on how we should tackle those problems,” he said. “He’s a friend to the small businesses in Wisconsin and across the country.”

HARDI CEO Talbot Gee said it is very important for HARDI members to connect with lawmakers.

“A visit like this is exactly the type of interaction with elected officials that we aim for,” he said. “Rick and Glenys continue to be effective advocates for our industry and we owe them a debt of gratitude for their continued willingness to engage with our leaders on behalf of, not only their company, but distributors everywhere.”
