Continental Fan says its EXT external mount duct fans are the perfect solution when space restrictions prevent the use of in-line duct fans. These fans can be used for ground-floor installations, tight attic mounting, high-rise buildings, apartments/townhouses, basement kitchens and washrooms. EXT fans can be side-wall mounted on the exterior of a building to allow for easy access to the fan. Installation space can be as little as 4 inches, providing room to connect appropriate duct. EXT fans use quiet and energy-efficient external rotor motors.
