Stephen M. Sessler has been named a senior vice president in the Atlanta office of WSP, a global engineering and professional services organization.

In his new position, Sessler will focus on growth in Atlanta and the broader Southeast region and lead WSP’s team on the future stadium home of the Atlanta Falcons. WSP is providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering; stadium lighting; and high-performance design services on the $1.2 billion project.

“A key part of our strategy as we grow our buildings business in the United States is to hire the very best people,” said David Cooper, president of WSP’s U.S. buildings division and the region’s chief commercial officer. “Stephen brings an outstanding reputation in Atlanta and fresh experience to our office there, expanding our ability to serve clients in all sectors.”

Leslie Gartner, senior vice president and managing director of WSP’s Atlanta office, is also pleased to have Sessler on the team.

“Stephen’s knowledge of and experience in the Atlanta market is a huge asset to our office,” she said. “I am thrilled to add someone of his stature to our local leadership.”
