HVAC construction instrument maker Fieldpiece has made its Job Link smartphone application now available for Android devices.

The app allows HVAC sales technicians to view measurements and create reports and quickly email customers and office staff.

“The response to the JL2 diagnostic system for Apple devices was overwhelming and we worked as quickly as possible to bring the same ease-of-use and feature-rich app to Android devices,” said Russ Harju, product manager at Fieldpiece Instruments. “Our app gives the field technician an advantage on the job as he will use Job Link to make adjustments based on live measurements, and be able to save critical information to the cloud and send to the office or to the customer.”

The Fieldpiece JL2 transmitter is required to link the device with Fieldpiece’s SMAN4, SMAN440 and SMAN460 wireless manifolds.

HVAC market reports are saved in “the cloud,” allowing them to be accessed anytime from any location, the company added.
