Daikin Applied will now be represented by Air Reps LLC in the state of Washington.

The move enables Daikin to align sales channels and enhance its brand, officials said.

To facilitate uniform coverage across Washington and to provide continuity to customers, Air Reps has acquired Vemco Inland Northwest in Spokane, Wash., an existing representative organization.

“We’re serious about our goal of becoming the number one applied HVAC leader in North America, and Air Reps and Vemco are key to helping us get there,” said Kirk Thorne, executive vice president of sales, marketing and aftermarket at Daikin Applied. “These Daikin Applied representatives are vibrant and dynamic organizations with long-term growth strategies in place. Their customers require state-of-the-art HVAC technologies, and we’re excited to pair their leadership and representation with ours in bringing these technologies to market.”

Through this acquisition, Air Reps will now be able to offer a comprehensive line of Daikin Applied products including chillers, air handlers, rooftops, water source heat pumps and fan coils, as well as Daikin variable-air-volume products to customers in the Spokane area.

Air Reps President Michael Hawkins said the acquisition will ultimately help the company to better serve its customers.

“This is an exciting time for us,” said Hawkins. “Our customers demand that every building is more efficient than the last, and with Daikin Applied’s commitment to technology and innovation we’ll be able to offer that and remain highly competitive in the market. Additionally, through the acquisition of Vemco Inland Northwest, we will combine our strengths to deliver a cohesive market presence and provide continuity in serving our joint customers throughout the state with better service and support.”
