Trane has earned environmental product declaration verification and registration for its CenTraVac portfolio of chillers. The certification provides specifiers and building owners independent, third-party verification of environmental performance claims.

“Trane has always been committed to meeting the highest level of performance standards and environmental sustainability,” said Ryan Geister, chiller systems leader at Trane. “With Type III EPD certification now complete for the entire CenTraVac portfolio, our customers can make informed purchase decisions with independently verified environmental performance data.”

EPD certification also helps building owners earn Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design points. Within the green building program v4 certification, any CenTraVac chiller can now help earn a LEED point under the Materials and Resources category for building product disclosure and optimization.
