Plasma cutting and sheet metal forming machinery manufacturer Hypertherm has released 10 hours of its educational training program for free download by industry educators.

The company’s “Plasma Cutting Technology: Theory and Practice” curriculum covers the uses of plasma cutting, methods, setup and operations. The electronic version of the program, including lessons, workbooks and reference materials, are available at www.hypertherm.com/plasmaeducation.

“Though we believe schools would benefit from obtaining the full ‘Plasma Cutting Technology: Theory and Practice’ kit including the hands-on materials we understand the constraints many schools are facing,” said Hypertherm educational program manager Betsy Van Duyne. “Welders are already in short supply making it critical that new welders have the tools and training they need to enjoy a successful and rewarding career.”
