HVAC market distributors from Washington state, Cincinnati, Florida and Texas were among the companies honored at Mitsubishi Electric’s March 9-13 distributor conference in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

More than 500 representatives attended the annual event, where the company celebrated the success of its ductless and variable refrigerant flow green HVAC systems.

“Our annual distributor conference strengthens and celebrates the important relationship between Mitsubishi Electric and its distributors,” said Mark Kuntz, senior vice president at Mitsubishi Electric US Inc.’s Cooling & Heating Division. “These companies play an essential role in promoting our products. We’re excited to be able to celebrate successes and discuss innovative ideas and opportunities for promoting our systems within the U.S. market.”

Winning the Distributor of the Year Award was Tacoma, Wash.-based Gensco. The company previously won the award in 2009 and 2013.

Broken down by regions, the winners were:

Central U.S.: Habegger Corp, Cincinnati

Northeast: Abco HVACR Supply & Solutions, Long Island City, N.Y.

South: Johnstone Supply-Ware Group, Jacksonville, Fla.

Southwest: Robert Madden Industries Ltd., Lubbock, Texas

West: Gensco, Tacoma, Wash.

Seven companies were given the Superior Sales Award:

Davenport Trane, Davenport, Iowa

Chesapeake Systems LLC, Hanover, Md.

Ferguson Enterprises Inc., Newport News, Va.

Gulf Coast Air Systems LLC, Lafayette, La.

A/C Warehouse Inc., Honolulu

Gensco, Tacoma, Wash.

Sigler Wholesale, Phoenix

An additional 34 companies won the Quota Buster Award for exceeding sales goals.
