Daikin Applied says HVAC construction contractors who attend one of its 18 “roadshow” stops this spring will learn about the “Internet of things” and the HVAC market company’s Intelligent Equipment platform.

Company officials say they have worked the wireless connectivity of physical items into HVAC sales equipment, including the Daikin’s rooftop Rebel, Maverick II and RoofPak units.

Attendees will have a chance to learn about these technologies and earn education credits for attending the sessions.

“Through advancements like Intelligent Equipment, HVAC systems are becoming more connected and more integrated than ever, making it critical to become educated about Internet of Things and what it means to the HVAC industry,” said Paul Rauker, vice president of systems and controls at Daikin Applied. “The ‘Ideas in Motion’ Roadshow gives participants a head start in becoming proficient with the latest technology and helps prepare them for future jobs and projects.”

The first roadshow took place Friday in Houston. Upcoming stops include Los Angeles; Las Vegas; Portland, Ore.; Denver; Salt Lake City; and Calgary, Alberta.
