HVAC construction website, app from UV Resources offer enhanced features
Santa Clarita, Calif.-based UV Resources says its new website and mobile application were designed to help contractors, engineers and users properly size ultraviolet surface irradiance systems.
“UV-C is a simple technology; however, many engineers, contractors and facility professionals are perplexed about how UV-C works and how to apply it cost effectively,” said company President Dan Jones. “We’ve improved our website’s navigation and content and have added several new interactive features to make sure that contractors, specifying engineers and users quickly get the accurate information they need most.”
The revamped website, www.UVResources.com, offers educational resources, including the ability to download free white papers and dozens of published technical articles.
The UV Select sizing app, available for both Android and Apple platforms, uses application-specific measurements to generate UV-C design recommendations that comply with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers’ guidelines for ultraviolet surface treatment. Users can simply input the height and width of an air handler’s coil and plenum, and the app automatically calculates the appropriate requirements and cost.
