Milwaukee Tool introduced its new generation of tape measures, designed with the general contractor in mind. The company says the new tape measures deliver 10 times longer life than the competition because of proprietary blade protection, and a five-point reinforced frame for drop protection. The tape measure line will initially include two tape measures, in lengths of 16 inches and 25 inches, followed by larger sizes and metric combination units in coming months. The tape measures will feature a wider base for more stability during layout applications.

This design securely holds the tape measure in place and prevents roll-off when measuring materials. The new tape measures also have a hook design that is optimized for scoring material like drywall. They will also include a wire form belt clip for secure storage and reduced pocket tearing.
