HVAC construction company wins several awards
Maryland contractor Shapiro & Duncan Inc. has received several recent back-to-back awards for the company’s excellence in design and project delivery, as well as the accomplishments and expertise of several team members.
In addition, the HVAC construction company was recognized for its on-time and on-budget performance, building information modeling expertise and work on Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-certified projects.
The awards the company received include: Associated General Contractors of Metro D.C. Top Subcontractor of the Year and Best Use of BIM; ACCA’s National HVAC Apprentice Contest winner, employee Leroy Friend; Best Mechanical Project for the Monument Office Complex from Associated Builders & Contractors Metro Washington and Northern Virginia chapters; Associated Builders & Contractors Metro Washington & Northern Virginia Chapters’ Top 10 Rising Stars, given to project engineer Aubrey Shapiro, project manager Dwight Heidel and business development specialist Stacey Ehring.
James Mitchell was named leading HVAC market service technician in the area by the Project Management Association, and the CityCenter DC was picked as a best office/mixed-use project by the Engineering News-Record.
