HVAC market sales for HARDI members increased 7.7 percent in November 2014, according to the latest figures from the wholesaler group.

The Heating, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International’s report said the average growth rate among members for the year was 6.1 percent.

“Recent results for HARDI distributors have been very consistent,” said HARDI’s market research and benchmarking analyst, Brian Loftus. “Over the past four months across seven economic reporting regions, we have only seen one modest sales decline.”

The recent decline in oil prices should boost consumer spending, which may help HARDI members involved in HVAC construction, added Danielle Marceau, an economist for the group.

“Low oil prices are proving to be a boon for consumer spending and we expect this trend to continue through at least the first three quarters of 2015,” she said.
