The Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors’ National Association cheered President Barack Obama’s approval of a bill re-authorizing a terrorism insurance bill.

The president signed the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act in mid-January, which gives businesses the chance to receive money from the government after terrorist attacks cause more than $200 million in damages.

The bill, which had broad bipartisan support, helps HVAC construction businesses purchase private terrorism insurance, the sheet metal works association said.
