The National Association of Home Builders has promoted a longtime employee to senior vice president of exhibitions and meetings.
Geoff Cassidy will oversee activities for the NAHB’s trademark event, the International Builders’ Show. He has been an NAHB employee for 20 years and has been involved in trade show operations since 2000.
Cassidy replaces Mark Pursell, who took a position at another association last year.
“Geoff Cassidy brings strong skills to this critical leadership position,” said NAHB Chief Executive Officer Jerry Howard. “The builders show is a tremendous undertaking, and Geoff has proven himself ready for the challenge. He inherits an exceptionally professional and talented staff, and I have every confidence that this team will lead the IBS to greater heights.”
Cassidy said he was excited about the opportunity.
“I look forward to continuing to enhance the quality of the IBS,” Cassidy said. “Through outstanding educational sessions, networking events and an expanded Design and Construction Week, the upcoming show promises to be a great experience — and to provide great value — for attendees.”
