Air Systems Inc. has won a 2014 SMACNA Safety Excellence Award. This is the third major safety award Air Systems has received from the association since 2011.
The Emcor-owned company was recognized for having the “lowest injury and illness rate in the over-500,000-man-hour category” during 2013 from the Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors’ National Association — the highest level recognized by the organization.
“Air Systems’ 2014 first-place national SMACNA award is the result of achieving zero injuries during the 2013 calendar year in the 500,000-plus man-hours worked category,” said Air Systems President Art Williams. “We’re extremely proud of this recognition, our third SMACNA safety award in the past four years. It’s validation of the company’s steadfast dedication to the wellbeing of employees and indicative of the sustained level of commitment everyone at Air Systems has to safety.”
