The Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s new commercial maintenance checklist is written to help building owners pick the right company to service their HVAC systems.

The list, which is based on standards approved by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, and the American National Standards Institute, includes seven questions owners and building operators should ask as part of the screening process.

The checklist is available free at www.acca.org/buildings

“Regular maintenance of heating and cooling equipment is critical to the performance, efficiency and lifespan of the system,” said ACCA President and CEO Paul T. Stalknecht. “However, many building owners and operators are unsure about what should be done, when it should be done and how it should be done. By making this checklist available, we are giving them a resource to help them select a contractor who will perform maintenance based on an industry-recognized standard.”
