Two Coleman Echelon modulating gas furnaces have been given “best buy” designations by Consumers Digest.
The compact, variable-speed furnace uses an electronically commutated motor that produces up to 98 percent annual fuel utilization efficiency, making it among the most green HVAC units available, said officials with manufacturer Johnson Controls. The second Echelon model recognized has a permanent split capacitor motor and a 97 percent AFUE.
“We’re thrilled to receive this award from Consumers Digest,” said Liz Haggerty, vice president and general manager of Johnson Controls Unitary Products Group. “It is a testament to our commitment to providing our customers with quality, energy-efficient products that make their homes more comfortable.”
