Tool manufacturer Ridgid awards four HVAC construction scholarships
Ridgid has given away four $1,000 scholarships through the the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors National Association’s educational foundation.
The 2014 scholarship recipients are: Nicolas Bonnema, who will be enrolling at Southeast Technical Institute to study HVAC construction; David Haight, who is enrolled at Mechanical Skills Plumbing Apprentice School; Daniel Kent, who is enrolled in the San Diego PHCC plumbing apprentice program; and Scott Whitson, who is enrolled in the Orange County, Calif., PHCC Chapter apprentice program.
“Ridgid is proud to lend our support to apprentices who are getting started in the trades,” said Steve Dyer, the company’s senior director of brand marketing. “Through these scholarships, we can put professional tools in their hands and get their class costs paid — that’s a huge head start toward a successful career and we’re happy to be able to do it.”
