New Jersey-based Elgen Manufacturing offers a full line of zero-leak fittings. The zero-leak lineup includes a one-piece press-on collar, one-piece conical and a zero-leak high-efficiency takeoff. All of these fittings can be fitted with Elgen’s zero-leak bushing and super standoff. Made from a proprietary plastic, the zero-leak bushing fits a 3/8-inch square rod. Holes are punched, not drilled, eliminating burrs. The patent-pending design has an expected 50-year lifespan, officials say.
