ACCA members are feeling good about the HVAC construction economy, according to the group’s latest survey.

The Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s Contractor Comfort Index for August is 76 on a 100-point scale.

The index measures the views of members on HVAC market business prospects and HVAC construction activity in the near term. The number is the same as last month and 10 points higher than the year-ago figure. Any number over 50 indicates that most contractors feel positive and business and the economy.

For the year, the index reached its peak in May, when it stood at 86.

The next index will be released at the end of this month.
