The often bow-tied conservative commentator Tucker Carlson will headline the Heating, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International’s annual HVAC market conference later this year.

The co-host of cable TV’s “Fox & Friends Weekend” and former CNN “Crossfire” co-host will speak at 11:45 a.m. Dec. 9.

Also booked for the Dec. 6-9 HVAC sales convention at the JW Marriott Hill Country in San Antonio is Robert Stephens, the founder and former CEO of the Geek Squad, the short-sleeved dress shirt and skinny tie-wearing electronics installers and troubleshooters now owned by Best Buy.

Stephens will speak about innovation, creativity and technology at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 8.

Emily Saving, HARDI’s director of education and its research foundation, said members seem to be excited about this year’s conference lineup.

“Our registration numbers have exceeded our goals thus far, and I think that’s a positive indicator that we’ve lined up the right folks to headline our event,”  Saving said.  “The speakers we have selected for HARDI’s 2014 annual conference will prepare our members for maximum business opportunities, taking into account the improving economic climate.”
