A Secaucus, N.J., contractor has been hired to fix the HVAC systems at the Statue of Liberty and historic Ellis Island damaged by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012.
F&G Mechanical Corp., a subsidiary of Emcor Group, will remove and install centrifugal chillers and boilers, piping, air-handling units, chilled water and steam piping, HVAC units, and install more than 30,000 square feet of ductwork. The company will also refurbish damaged sections of the fuel oil system.
