People can now sign up to attend the Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s October Service Managers Forum.

The Oct. 9-10 event will be held at a Sheraton hotel in Charlotte, N.C. ACCA officials say this year’s event features new session topics, including “Empower Your Customers to Make the Best Choice” with Tim Touhy of Universe Appliance, “Maintaining a Quality Service Brand Across Multiple Operations” with Mike Rackers of CroppMetcalfe Services, “Ten Tips For Running A Successful Service Department” with Eric Knaack of Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. and “Taking Back Control of Your Service Department” with Frank Besednjak from Training Source.

This year’s keynote speaker is Mike Hourigan, a consultant who specializes in helping contractors adapt to change.

“The Service Managers Forum continues to be one of our most popular educational events each year and we are excited to be going to Charlotte, N.C., for our seventh year,” said Kevin Holland, ACCA’s senior vice president of business operations and membership. “We’ve packed the schedule with a brand new lineup of learning labs that focuses on management principles that all service managers need to be successful. We’ve brought back some of our most popular speakers and have sought out some new speakers who have experience in not just HVAC, but also plumbing and electrical. This event is about learning, growing and helping attendees move to the next level of success. By expanding the fields of experience our speakers have, we are pulling in new perspectives that will offer fresh ideas for attendees to take back and improve their operations.”

The forum also includes a manufacturer showcase for sponsors, including Danfoss, Mitsubishi and Trane.
