ISH China officials say its recent 2014 show set a record.

The May 13-15 HVAC market event attracted a record 41,238 people and 999 exhibitors from 18 countries. Six halls at Beijing’s New China International Exhibition Center were used, covering 915,000 square feet of exhibit space.

Attendance was up 11.8 percent compared with 2013’s figures. Forty countries were represented, with Germany, Hong Kong China, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Russia, Taiwan and Turkey bringing the most visitors.

Popular HVAC construction products included wall-hung boilers, heat pumps, solar energy devices, radiators and fittings, heat exchangers, floor-heating, pipes, valves, ventilation systems, control systems, heat meters and energy-saving green HVAC products.

“With factors such as higher energy conservation and greater efficiency dictating the goals of China’s HVAC and plumbing sectors, the Beijing show’s significance has never been greater,” said Richard Li, general manager of show organizer Messe Frankfurt in China. “We are delighted to have gathered an astounding group of HVAC and plumbing experts and suppliers from around the world, particularly from Germany and Italy to showcase their environmental friendly and state-of-the-art products. Overall, I am pleased with the show’s results, and I believe its international footprint will continue to grow for the years to come.”
