Plasma cutting and sheet metal forming equipment manufacturer Hypertherm has created a preventative maintenance program for the company’s HyPerformance systems.

It shows ductwork fabrication and other users how to perform inspections, clean their equipment and replace items that wear out from use.

Think of it like an oil change schedule for your car -- but this is for your equipment, Hypertherm officials said.

“Though Hypertherm systems are engineered and carefully manufactured to offer the most reliable and consistent performance in the industry, preventive maintenance is still key to optimizing system output, reducing unplanned down time, and minimizing operating costs,” said Clayton Gould, a product marketing manager at Hypertherm. “These new kits will make it as easy as possible for our customers to properly care for and maintain their systems and ensure they enjoy the performance Hypertherm systems are designed to deliver.”
