HVAC construction company Hartzell Air Movement is closing its Portland, Ind., plant, the Ohio-based firm said Monday.

HVAC market operations will be consolidated into the company’s Piqua, Ohio, facility. Workers in Indiana will have the ability to transfer to the Ohio plant, officials said. The move will add about 30 jobs in Piqua when it is completed in August.

Hartzell President Sean Steimle said change will reduce customer wait times and boost efficiency.

“By consolidating our resources to Piqua, Ohio, headquarters, it allows us to build on our strengths and continue to be a leader in the air movement industry,” Steimle said.
