Members of the food service, supermarket and convenience store industry have been invited to attend the Emerson Technology in Action Conference, taking place now through Wednesday in Point Clear, Ala.

“This year’s Technology in Action Conference will bring together industry leaders from retailers, original equipment manufacturers and contractors to discuss topics ranging from IT security to geothermal systems, to the ongoing changes in efficiency standards to optimizing facility operational costs,” said Mark Dunson, president of Emerson Climate Technologies’ retail solutions division. “Changing retail formats, a heightened focus on energy efficiency and environmental considerations continue to drive an increasingly more complex operating environment for our customers, and this year’s conference will directly address these issues.”

The keynote speaker is Jim Donald, CEO of Extended Stay Hotels and former head at Starbucks. Other sessions include HVAC market talks on green HVAC, geothermal, variable-capacity air conditioning and refrigerant issues.
