If you can’t make it to the AHR Expo next week, you can still watch an Internet broadcast that will take place on the show floor.

Emerson Climate Technologies will host “A Conversation on Refrigerants” at 2 p.m. Eastern from booth No. 1031 at the Javits convention complex.

The panel discussion will be hosted by Rajan Rajendran, Ph.D., vice president of engineering services and sustainability for Emerson Climate Technologies. Panels will include Barbara Minor, senior technical fellow at DuPont Fluoroproducts. Mark W. Spatz, global refrigerant technology leader at Honeywell’s Fluorine Products. Brett Van Horn, Ph.D., global project leader for research and development at Arkema Inc.

Discussions designed to answer these questions are planned:

  • What are the new refrigerants being developed for retrofit and new applications that can help lower your stores’ carbon footprint?
  • In an uncertain regulatory climate, what should I be doing now to minimize refrigerant transition costs in the future?
  • How should I evaluate lower-global warming potential refrigerants, both synthetic and natural?
