Refrigerants that may be better for the environment will be the subject of a Jan. 16, 2014, conference sponsored by the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute. The meeting, to take place at the Hilton Midtown in New York City, will cover the institute’s low global warming potential refrigerants evaluation program.

Test results will be presented at the conference.

“This conference will provide AREP (Alternative Refrigerants Evaluation Program) contributors with an excellent opportunity to share the results of their research, and raise awareness about the work members of the HVACR and water heating industry are conducting to foster environmental stewardship,” said AHRI President and CEO Stephen Yurek. “We encourage those interested to join us and learn more about this groundbreaking program and the impact it will have on our industry and the citizens of the world.”
