Tips on the best way to conduct commercial energy audits is the subject of ASHRAE-sponsored online course this fall.

The two-part course, “Commercial Building Energy Audits,” is sponsored by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers’ Learning Institute. It includes time-saving energy auditing tips; hiring an auditor; what to seek in an audit report; and analyzing of billing data.

It will takes place Nov. 4-6.

“As we work to identify investment opportunities in commercial buildings, we want to ensure that any recommendations are cost effective, technically feasible and result in significant energy savings,” said course instructor Jim Kelsey.  “Providing the best audits that we can will help move the industry forward to net-zero buildings, so this course focuses on how to actually conduct good audits.”
