Buy a pair of Klein Tools’ new camouflage pliers, and you will be supporting military veterans.

As part of the launch of the limited-edition 2000 series of high-leverage, side-cutting pliers, Klein is donating $25,000 to Operation Homefront, a charity that supports veterans and their families.

“Klein Tools is thrilled to partner with a great organization like Operation Homefront,” said company Chairman Mat Klein III. “So many of our customers and their loved ones are current or retired military members, and it is an honor to give them our support.”

The pliers are the same popular 2000 series tool, but have a plastic-dipped camouflage handle and “Support our troops” laser-etched on the head.

They are made at Klein’s Mansfield, Texas, plant. The pliers will be sold through Klein’s distributor network.

Klein said it would donate the $25,000 to the charity during the year.

Amy Palmer, chief development officer for Operation Homefront, said she was grateful for the toolmaker’s contribution.

“Our mission is to support service members and their families in need of immediate help,” Palmer said. “Klein Tools’ generous contribution will play an integral part in fulfilling those pressing needs.”
