Gorham/Schaffler Inc. in Memphis, Tenn., was given the 2012 Rep of the Year Award from Seresco USA Inc.
The award was presented Jan 28 in Dallas at the AHR Expo.
The 42-year-old Gorham/Schaffler specializes in commercial and industrial heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and direct-digital-control systems in west Tennessee, northern Mississippi and northern Arkansas.
Several projects helped the company surpass its sales quotas in 2012, company officials said. The $80 million Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Memphis used two large Seresco NE series swimming pool dehumidifiers for its environmental control in the natatorium portion of the 104,000-square-foot facility. Another project was the 44,000-square-foot, $11 million Tupelo Aquatic Center in Tupelo, Miss. It is using two Seresco Protocol NP series dehumidifiers that help preserve the local environment by using up to 85 percent less refrigerant than conventional equipment. Gorham/Schaffler Inc. also landed several indoor pool projects for various Hilton hotel brands.
“Gorham/Schaffler is a quota-busting, model rep firm because of their pool design knowledge and experience that consulting engineers seek for projects across the nation,” said Seresco Vice President Ralph Kittler. “More than any other representative, they win projects for Seresco on a basis of design.”
