Contractors from Denver and Alaska are the newest winners in Lochinvar’s installation contest and drawing.

Tom Olds of Advanced Hydronics in Denver was the winner of the March VIP Installation Showcase and Jim Schwankl’s name was picked in the drawing.

Schwankl works at AK Clearwater Mechanical LLC in Willow, Alaska.

The winners will be eligible to go to Nashville, Tenn., in June for the Nashville Experience, a major country music festival.

Olds, the owner of Advanced Hydronics, won for the installation of a Knight boiler at the Franconia Apartments, an historic 21,000-square-foot structure that dates to 1927. Employee Jim French was the sales manager for the project. The two new 600,000 British thermal unit Knight XL commercial boilers reduced the building’s energy bills by 40 percent, officials said.

“This was a really successful installation at a unique location, and our team takes great pride in significantly improving the efficiency of the historic Franconia apartment building,” Olds said. “Since Jim (French) was instrumental in securing the project as well as overseeing the design and installation processes, he is taking the well-deserved trip to Nashville. All of us at Advanced Hydronics are very excited for him.”

Drawing winner Schwankl said he is looking forward to his trip.

“I’m really excited that my registration card was chosen, and I can’t wait to check out Nashville and Lochinvar’s headquarters this June,” he said.
