AHRI general counsel to retire
AHRI announced that David Calabrese, the senior vice president of policy for the organization, will take over Mattingly’s responsibilities effective July 2. Calabrese’s official title will be general counsel and senior vice president of public policy. In addition to his general counsel duties, Calabrese will oversee AHRI’s federal, state, and international policy activities as well as its regulatory and research areas.
“Joe Mattingly’s contributions to our industry are immeasurable,” said AHRI President and CEO Stephen Yurek. “He has been a guiding force behind our ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with federal efficiency standards – standards that he helped create – while working to keep our association on the cutting edge of energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. While we will miss his steady hand and vast knowledge and experience, we are fortunate that Dave Calabrese has agreed to assume general counsel duties and ensure a seamless transition for our members and for the industry.”
