U.S. Congressman Frank Guinta (R-N.H.) has been given the Free Enterprise Legislator of the Year Award from ABC.
Each year, the Associated Builders and Contractors present the award to a member of Congress whose public service parallels the ideas of ABC.
“Congressman Guinta is a great friend of ABC, the merit shop construction industry and a strong ally in Congress,” said 2011 ABC National Chairman Michael J. Uremovich and president of Great Lakes Energy Consultants LLC in Manhattan, Ill. “We appreciate all the work he has done to help advance the ideals of free enterprise and open competition.”
Representing New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District, Guinta is a member of several committees, including the House budget, transportation and infrastructure, and the Government Reform and Oversight Committee, a panel that oversees matters ABC says are important to its 23,000 members. This includes the elimination of government-mandated project labor agreements and the investigation of government regulations.
