Next month’s International
Roofing Expo will feature the show’s first renewable energy pavilion.
The pavilion will include information
on the benefits on products such as solar, green, photovoltaic, geothermal and
related technologies.
The pavilion is sponsored by
Georgia Pacific.
"Renewable
energy products are a fast-growing segment of the roofing industry," said show
director Lindsay Roberts. “In fact, there was a nearly 21 percent increase from 2009
to 2010 in the number of attendees who indicated they were interested in solar
and green/eco-friendly categories.”
Educational
seminars will also be held at the pavilion.
“The renewable energy pavilion promises to be an exciting addition to the
International Roofing Expo,” said Bill Good, Executive Vice President of the
National Roofing Contractors Association, the show’s official sponsor.
“Everyone in the roofing industry needs to understand how new technologies will
shape our future, and I encourage all of our members, in particular, to take
advantage of this chance to see the latest products and learn from the
educational demonstrations.”
The
roofing expo runs Feb. 16-18 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
