Emcor Group Inc. announced that a mechanical contracting subsidiary has been given a contract to install the mechanical systems at a Phoenix medical school.

Emcor’s University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors will install the HVAC, building controls and plumbing systems, as well as the laboratory piping and exhaust systems in the 264,000 square-foot, 6-story Health Science Education Building at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.

"We have much experience with the unique challenges presented and skills required when working at medical and biomed complexes, and we are delighted to have an opportunity to channel our expertise into this very important project."

Construction of the facility is scheduled to be done by summer 2012.
