Organizers have tweaked the dates for November’s Fabtech.

Originally slated to open Nov. 13 and conclude Nov. 16, the metal-forming and fabricating show will now run Nov. 14-17 at Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center.

Officials with the show said exhibitor requests for more space and time for setup prompted the switch.

“We are pleased to hear exhibitors plan to demonstrate more never-before-seen machinery, high-tech equipment and advanced technology at Fabtech 2011," said John Catalano, the co-show manager. “We feel the date adjustment will better accommodate our exhibitor setup needs and demonstrates our commitment to ensuring both exhibitors and attendees have the best show experience possible.”

More than 30,000 are expected to attend, with 1,200 exhibitors taking up 450,000 square feet of exhibit hall space, officials said.
