‘Big Island' company adds plasma table

Four years after founding Hawaii Sheet Metal and Mechanical Inc., owner Brian Ninomoto now says his shop is complete.

The “missing piece,” he said, was a Plasma Pro II table, made and installed by Production Products Inc. of Charlotte Hall, Md.

Ninomoto said his company, based in Hilo, Hawaii, is not the biggest on the “Big Island,” but that was never his goal when he founded it in 2006.

“We are trying to create a niche in the market, that people will recognize that we sell a quality product for a reasonable price,” Ninomoto said. “Our vision is to create this product, which is the work we do, and how we do it.”

The Plasma Pro had really helped complete that vision, he added.

“We feel that this is a huge step for us,” he said.
