Nine assemblies made by Sentrigard Metal Roofing Systems have been OK’d for use in Florida’s Miami-Dade County.

“These approvals are important to our customers in Florida, but they also impact our customers in the Mid-Atlantic who are regularly affected by hurricane-force winds,” explained Chris Payne, manager of technical services for roofing for Sentrigard Metal Roofing Systems and distributor N.B. Handy Co. “The Miami-Dade County standards make certain assemblies can withstand the strongest winds in the United States. The high-velocity wind zone in Florida encompasses Miami-Dade and Broward counties, including wind speeds up to 150 mph. This means Sentrigard Metal Roofs are designed to not only withstand high winds from hurricanes but also other sources of inland devastation, such as tornadoes and wind-related weather events.”
