Frank Maddalon, founder and owner of F. R. Maddalon Plumbing & Heating in Trenton, N.J., is the new PHCC president. He was installed as the 2010-2011 Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association president Oct. 30 in Las Vegas during the organization’s annual convention.
has a long history with both the PHCC of New Jersey and the national
association as an officer and zone director. Before being elected PHCC vice
president, he served as national secretary in 2006-2007. He is a member of the
association’s political action committee, sits on the board of the PHCC
Educational Foundation and is a member of the National Standard Plumbing Code
Committee. For a decade, he chaired the Apprentice and Journeyman Training
Committee. He is a former co-chair of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of
America Task Force and also served on the national technical committee for
VICA’s SkillsUSA plumbing contest.
Maddalon’s career began
in 1962 when his brother-in-law arranged an apprenticeship with N.C. Jefferson
of Princeton, N.J. During the next 15 years, Maddalon became licensed as a
master plumber and began doing part-time work for referrals from family and
friends. By 1977, demand for his services had grown so much that Maddalon

he will focus on three main initiatives: recruiting and retaining members,
enhancing PHCC’s presence on Capitol Hill, and ensuring that contractor members
understand the value of their membership and take full advantage of the education and training opportunities available to them.
