Four students are set to receive some financial relief toward their education thanks to the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Educational Foundation.
A total of $9,000 in scholarships was funded by the foundation, the South Jersey Mechanical Contractors Association, the PHCC Past National Officers and the PHCC Auxiliary of Massachusetts.
Eleven additional students will receive 2010 scholarships worth more than $27,000 provided by A.O. Smith Water Heaters, Bradford White Water Heaters and Delta Faucet Co.
Steven Beetz of St. Louis was awarded the 2010 Charles F. Hiley Memorial Scholarship, a $2,500 award funded by the PHCC Educational Foundation and the South Jersey Mechanical Contractors Association. Beetz is enrolled at Missouri University of Science & Technology and pursuing a four-year degree in mechanical engineering. He was sponsored by PHCC member Daniel Beetz of Joseph H. Beetz Plumbing Co.
William Andrew Kibler of Winston-Salem, N.C., will receive a $1,500 scholarship funded by the PHCC Educational Foundation. Kibler is enrolled at Appalachian State University and is pursuing a four-year degree in construction management. He was sponsored by PHCC member Phillip Bodenheimer of Bodenheimer Plumbing Service Inc.
Jarad DeWolfe of Boylston, Mass., was awarded a $2,500 scholarship funded by the PHCC Past National Officers. DeWolfe was sponsored by PHCC member Joe Silk of G&L Plumbing. He is enrolled at Flagler College pursuing a four-year degree in business administration and management.
Jonathan Macone of Stoneham, Mass., will receive a $2,500 scholarship funded by the PHCC Auxiliary of Massachusetts and the PHCC Educational Foundation. Macone is enrolled at Curry College to pursue a four-year degree in business management. He was sponsored by PHCC National Auxiliary member Anne Williams of F.A. Williams Inc.
