In June, the two master’s candidates from the defense fund’s Climate Corps fellowship will start work on a number of energy initiatives at the company.

Ingersoll Rand PLC, parent company to a number of HVAC equipment manufacturers, is hiring two interns from an Environmental Defense Fund program.

In June, the two master’s candidates from the defense fund’s Climate Corps fellowship will work on a number of energy initiatives at the company, including evaluating energy audits and developing greenhouse gas-reducing programs.

“The work that the fellows will undertake is critical to our efforts to improve our energy performance and sustainability,” said Scott Tew, executive director of at Ingersoll Rand’s Center for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability. “The Climate Corps program offers a win-win for students and companies like ours - a unique, hands-on educational approach that will help us achieve our vision of creating safe, comfortable and efficient environments.”
