Steven M. Stroum, the president Massachusetts-based Venmark International, has some
ideas. His “Top Seven Reasons Why Engineers Screw Up Press Releases” lists
these possibly “fatal” flaws: writing in “engineering speak,” not understanding
what makes a product newsworthy, believing that more information is always
better, and not including a professional photograph.
Stroum, who says he has written more than 14,000 press releases,
explains how to fix these blunders. The white
