SMACNA-AZ is inviting the public to guess the first day the thermometer reaches 100°F at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

The sixth annual 100-Degree Contest, sponsored by the Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors’ National Association’s Arizona chapter, has started.

SMACNA-AZ is inviting the public to guess the first day the thermometer reaches 100°F at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The winner will receive a weekend at the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, including spa treatments and breakfast.

The public can enter the contest and read full rules and details at this Web site . One entry per day, per person is accepted. Same-day entries are not allowed.

“The contest is designed to be a fun way for people to get ready for the hot months ahead and to help them learn more about SMACNA-Arizona’s member contractors and the quality, training and craftsmanship they provide,” said Carol Goguen, the group’s executive director.

Last year, the mercury reached 100°F April 21.
