The Air Conditioning Contractors of America has introduced a new corporate partner program, which it says will provide year-round support during association activities.

Corporate partners will not just be sponsoring a conference or event. ACCA officials said that they would provide financial resources which help the association expand advocacy and business development activities for contractors throughout the year.

The first partners for 2010 include Carrier, Emerson Climate Technologies, USA Refrigerants, Federated Insurance, Goodman Manufacturing, Jackson Systems, Lennox, Mitsubishi, Rheem Manufacturing, WaterFurnace, North American Technician Excellence, and Snips sister publication the Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration News.

“ACCA is an organization of, by and for contractors,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. “Our development of technical and design standards, promotion of quality installation and maintenance, advancement of sound business-management practices, and aggressive government advocacy are all focused like a laser beam on building stronger contracting businesses in every community.”

Stan Johnson, the ACCA 2009-2010 chairman and president, expressed his satisfaction with the HVACR industry’s backing of ACCA.

“I am very proud that other segments of the HVACR industry have recognized the real value that ACCA, the professional contractor association, brings to us all,” he said. “Our corporate partners are companies that understand and recognize just how important and vital contractors are to the entire HVACR chain. These companies are not just saying the right things - they’re doing the right thing, and showing their support in a very tangible way. All of our members should be pleased with these corporate partners for believing that ACCA contractors are worth a significant investment.”
