Lennox to open India research office
Lennox International announced it would open a global technology center in Chennai, India, a move it said would help with HVACR product development.
"This latest expansion of our technology footprint is consistent with our strategy of growth through leadership products and solutions in the global markets we serve,” said Todd Bluedorn, chief executive officer at Lennox International.
The center will primarily work on controls engineering, analysis and information technology, officials said.
"We've chosen Chennai after carefully benchmarking other locations around the world," said chief technology officer Prakash Bedapudi. "Chennai has one of the world's most highly trained engineering and information technology resource pools, and we are excited to work with the best and brightest to further extend (Lennox’s) technology leadership."
