Green technology company Ecobee will debut its Energy Management System at next week’s AHR Expo in Orlando, Fla.

The product is designed for commercial situations where a regular thermostat does not meet needs and a building automation system is overkill, Ecobee officials say. Like the company’s “smart” thermostat, the management system was made to be easy to use and save energy.

“We developed the Ecobee EMS to accomplish the same goal as our Smart Thermostat – green made easy,” said Stuart Lombard, company president and CEO. “HVAC contractors, business owners and building managers all gave us input pointing to a serious gap in intelligent and affordable commercial energy management systems.  This new product was developed to bridge that gap.”

The EMS has a Web portal that allows users to troubleshoot HVAC problem remotely, over the Internet. It also features a color touch screen multiple-climate programming.

The EMS will be on display at Ecobee’s booth, No. 1321.

The AHR Expo is Jan. 25-27 at the Orange County Convention Center.
