ARS/Rescue Rooter has purchased Dallas-based
Efficient Attic Systems.
According to ARS/Rescue Rooter, the
acquisition marks the company’s first service line expansion through the
addition of a company that provides blown-in insulation, attic ventilation and
high-tech radiant barrier services.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“An important part of
the HVAC business involves improving energy efficiency in the home,” said Dave
Slott, ARS/Rescue Rooter president and chief operating officer. “The sales and
service of energy-efficient products is a growing focus of our business, as
customers are very concerned with lowering their energy bills. EAS is a
leading-edge business with outstanding customer service, and we are excited to
be aligned with their operation.”
EAS is known for its
energy-efficient attic program, which aims to save consumers up to 30 percent
on their energy bills. The program integrates three energy-saving techniques
including proper attic insulation, balanced attic ventilation and a spray-on
radiant barrier.
“EAS services, including their proprietary,
Sola-Shield high-tech radiant barrier solution, allows ARS/Rescue Rooter to
expand its capabilities and expertise,” said ARS/Rescue Rooter Chief Executive
Officer Don Karnes. “We believe these services offer strong value to homeowners
in an underutilized category, and we welcome this additional opportunity to
provide leadership in the home services industry.”
